Who are Extraordinary Ministers?
Lay people who assist the priest in distributing Holy Communion at Mass and, when needed, bring Communion to the sick and homebound.
When do they serve?
- At their regular Mass
- On Holy Days and special liturgies (e.g., Thanksgiving, Easter Triduum)
- To the sick, homebound, and those in care facilities
Requirements
- Love and reverence for the Eucharist
- Reliable and responsible
- Comply with Parish Minister Dress Code
Responsibilities
- Assist the priest with distributing Communion at Mass
- Bring Communion to the sick and homebound (especially on Sundays)
