Our mission is to facilitate the study of scripture for inmates of the jails and prisons within the Diocese of San Diego.
Locally, at St Peter the Apostle Parish, we have jail ministers serving the Women's Rainbow Conservation Camp here in Rainbow. We hold our study and service once a week with two or more parish members serving the needs of the Camp. We offer a full Mass with a Priest from our Parish once a month. Some of our dedicated folks have been active in this ministry for many years.
We volunteer, which we understand to be the highest of commitments. We operate via a calendar sent to us each month. We use the facilitation mode of study for our services and understand we are not teachers, preachers or counselors.
We are folks from St Peter's doing God's work and we encourage others to join us.
